The recent increase of BEP20-GMT supply (GMT in Binance chain) is caused by the extremely low liquidity of BEP20-GMT on BNB.
As a result, the Binance Bridge Team used SPL-GMT (GMT in Solana chain) in their holding assets, locked up a portion of it, and released that same amount in the Binance chain.
We would like to assure everyone that the increase of BEP20-GMT does NOT cause GMT inflation.
Please note that we also cannot burn SPL-GMT and BEP20-GMT simultaneously.
This is because to burn BEP20-GMT, one needs to have minting rights.
Note that neither STEPN nor Binance have GMT minting rights on either SOL/BNB chain, so the only recourse is to burn SPL-GMT periodically.
We have informed the Binance Bridge team to provide a SPL-GMT locking address for public review.

We would like to share the team's current plan to assist STEPN customers with urgent concerns.
🔹 We are aware of the long turnaround time for concerns raised via the in-app feedback button. We will revamp customer assistance in such a way that customers with simple queries can get the information they need via knowledgebase/wiki, while at the same time keeping the ticket submission form open for customers with important concerns. This new process is currently being worked on and will be rolled out within a month or so.
🔹As an interim solution while we streamline the feedback process, we will provide separate forms for customers with critical issues. This includes the following cases:
🔸 MISSING ASSET CASES. The engineers have begun addressing the most critical missing asset cases, which has led to the greatly diminished number of complaints in our Discord channels. However, we are not yet done with all the cases. The SWAT Team Google form has now been shut down so we can focus on the cases submitted in that form, and ANY OTHER missing asset cases will need to go to the ⛑︱-transaction-related-missing-assets .
----- 🔸 24 - 48 HOURS. If you have just performed a transfer/purchase that is LESS THAN 24-48 hours ago, please allow your transfer/purchase 24-48 hours to self-solve before submitting a ticket.
